
Last night we got home from Hula class, Maya was hungry and was looking through our pantry for a snack.
She saw raw peanuts and started eating them. She asked,”Are these raw? Are these the same peanuts that Lola makes but without garlic?”
I replied,”Yes, they are raw, but we can make some.”
Well that’s what I did, I made some.
Adobong Mani
- 6 cups Peanuts, Raw – with or without skin
- 4 ea Garlic Cloves- sliced
- 5 Tbs Olive Oil
- 1 Tbs Salt
Heat a cooking pot then pour-in cooking oil. When the oil is hot, put-in the garlic and fry until the color turns golden to medium brown. Remove the garlic and set aside. Adjust the heat to low combine he salt and peanuts in the pan then fry the peanuts while stirring occasionally. This should take about 12 to 15 minutes. Let cool.
